About us

SSI Diagnostica Group is a global in vitro diagnostics (IVD) company, specializing in infectious disease diagnostics. We employ staff and operate offices in Denmark, the United States, and China, with a total of eleven sites across three different continents. Each year, we deliver diagnostic solutions in more than 130 countries and manufacture more than 60 million diagnostic tests – helping people receive the right diagnosis and, ultimately, the right treatment as quickly as possible. We focus on gastrointestinal, respiratory, and bloodborne diseases. Across our disease focus areas, we operate two distinct product portfolios:

  • Life Science Solutions: Products used by the life science (IVD, pharma) industry to develop, validate, or quality-control their own products. Examples of products we sell in this portfolio include antisera, antigens, serotyping / multiplexing kits, and instrument solutions. Typical customers include global vaccine companies, the IVD industry, and global CROs.
  • Diagnostic Solutions: Finished in vitro diagnostic products used by healthcare professionals for disease detection and treatment decision-making. Technologies and products in this portfolio include lateral flow tests, enzyme immunoassays, ELISA platforms, culture media, urea breath testing, and digital readers. The typical customers are private, hospital, microbiology and reference laboratories.

Unique value chain positioning:

With our Life Science Solution and Diagnostic Solutions portfolios, and expertise across four key disease areas, SSI Diagnostica Group is uniquely positioned across the full IVD value chain. This enables the company to act as a one-stop partner for customers through prevention, monitoring, and diagnosis of infectious diseases:

  • Disease prevention: supplying vaccine developers and manufacturer with multiplexing and serotyping solutions, as well as critical antisera used in vaccine development and quality-control
  • Disease monitoring: partnering with national health authorities and references laboratories to monitor disease patterns and track epidemiological developments, supporting future vaccine strategies and diagnostic needs
  • Disease diagnostics: developing and manufacturing a broad range of high-quality diagnostic solutions that enable healthcare professionals to detect infectious diseases quickly and accurately, supporting timely treatment decisions and improved patient outcomes
+ 200 years of combined scientific expertise

Operating as one company today, SSI Diagnostica Group is historically the result of a series of acquisitions: SSI Diagnostica (2016), CTK Biotech (2020), Beijing Genesee Biotech (2020), Techlab (2022), Gulf Coast Scientific (2025), and InDevR (2026).

Each brand has brought unique expertise and experience to the group, and as a combined company we offer more than 200 years of combined scientific expertise.

We are ambitious about bringing our high-quality product portfolio to even more patients around the world. Better patient treatment outcomes is core to everything we do.

Being private equity owned, we have invested heavily in recent international expansion and innovation and we continue to focus on purposeful growth – with the patient and customer at the center of every move.

Since 2016, we have grown from 80 employees to 600 in 2025.

We are private equity owned by Adelis Equity Partners.
